JoAnne Efird, of Presbyterian Village in Little Rock, left her earthly life and returned to her creator on Thursday, April 11, 2024. She was 86 years old at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Miles and Jewel Hall Efird and by her brother Ernest Eugene (Gene) Efird and sister-in-law Gwendolyn Lapham Efird.
In her youth she had been an active member of Forest Park Methodist Church, now St Paul United Methodist Church. Jo Anne was a 1955 graduate of Little Rock High School and in 1960 she graduated from Hendrix College in Conway.
After her college graduation she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she worked for over 30 years in Admissions at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. During her life she enjoyed her many trips to Europe, her activities in Altrusa International, and visiting her family in Little Rock. She was also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Charlotte.
Her survivors include her nieces and nephew, Wendy Lynne Efird of Little Rock: Debra Sue Efird (Peter Cvietusa) of Denver, Colorado; David Gene Efird (Helen Baldridge) of Little Rock; and grand nieces and nephews, Josie Lenora Efird, Lucas Adams Efird, Audrey Grace Cvietusa and Miles Owen Cvietusa.
Her family will miss her loving spirit!
