Jerry Lorring West, age 74, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away Wednesday June 20, 2018 surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born on September 15, 1943 to the late Harrison and Elsie West in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jerry West grew up and graduated from his hometown of Mountain View, Missouri. Jerry was a truck driver for many years for Baird and Sons/Corporate Express until he retired in 2004. Jerry loved every day he had with his children, grandchildren and his loved ones. You would know he was close just by hearing his laugh! If only to hear one more time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children’s mother Lydia, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Jerry West is survived by his 5 children, Angelica Ann Janes of Independence, Missouri and her 2 sons, Christopher and Amber West, of Jacksonville, and their 5 children; Stephanie Idell Tonkinson of Independence, Missouri and her 3 children; Kristina and Shawn Ragsdale of Bauxite, Arkansas and their 4 children; Anthony and Rachel West of Bryant, Arkansas and their 3 children; as well as his 8 brothers and sisters.
A special thank you to all the ICU nurses and doctors at CHI St. Vincent Hospital North and Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.
Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Trapnall Hall, 423 East Capital Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas. Father Mark Wood of Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church will officiate his service.
