Jerry Lee "Pete" Appleby died peacefully in Saint Andrews Nursing Home on July 23rd, 2016 in Conway Arkansas at the age of 70.
Jerry was born on November 8Th, 1945 in Clinton, Arkansas to Willie and Annie Appleby, the fifth of five boys. He spent the next 70 years being the best son, brother, dad and papal he could be. Pete loved spending time with his family and friends. He had several hobbies he enjoyed like fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a simple man that was loved and respected by everyone that knew him.
Jerry is survived by his son, Larry Appleby of Conway, AR. His granddaughter Cornelia Polk (Aaron Polk) and great grandson Braxton Polk, of Morrilton, AR. Six brothers, Jim Appleby (Helen) of Formosa, AR; Bob Appleby (Marie) of Birdtown, AR; Junior Appleby (Joy Dean) of Lincoln, AR. Steven Appleby (Shea), Doug Appleby, Tom Appleby and one sister Cindy Dowdy. He is preceded in death by his father and mother; John William "Willie" and Anna Elizabetha "Annie" Appleby, a brother Johnny Grayson Appleby all of Clinton, AR.
A memorial is scheduled for 2:00 pm on August 6th at the Clinton Church of Christ in Clinton AR. with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jerry’s (Pete’s) life.
