Jeffrey Michael Lamb

July 6, 1969 — March 18, 2025

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas

Jeffrey Michael Lamb, music buff, bookworm, and rascal, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 18, 2025.

Jeff was born July 6, 1969 in Searcy, AR to Mike Lamb and Frances (Linville) Lamb Jensen and spent most of his life in Hot Springs, AR. A unique, old soul, he brought a spirited presence to every room he graced. His laughter was infectious, his stories unforgettable.

Jeff’s passion for music was limitless, spanning genres from thrash metal to classic country to gospel to punk rock. A talented musician himself, he played in several bands throughout the years, most notably Jeff Lamb and the Bush Hogs and Us Against Alison. Music was his heartbeat, and he was his most authentic self when he was playing, whether in front of a standing room only crowd at Vino’s or at home alone with only his beloved beagle, Tex, to hoop and holler.

He also had a deep, abiding love for classic literature, finding solace and wisdom in the pages of timeless novels. The works of Dickens, Hemingway, and Poe weren’t just stories to him-they were windows into the human experience, full of profound truths and complex characters. His bookshelf was a testament to his passion, filled with well-worn volumes, lifelong companions that offered a sense of connection to the past and a deeper understanding of the present.

Jeff was a man of simple pleasures and not so simple vices. He was most often found with a Marlboro red dangling from one hand and a glass of Glenlivet in the other, maintaining a delicate balance between defiance and delight. To the chagrin of his family (and physicians), he would quip that a short life with a wide grin was preferable to a long one with a narrow outlook.

Despite his rascally streak, Jeff had a soft spot in his heart for family. He loved his “Mammis” and his “Sissy” with a love that was more than love. And upon his “Fine Fella” of a nephew, he bestowed his absolute adoration (and the occasional questionable advice).

Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Libbie Lamb and his maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Connie Linville. He is survived by his parents, Frances Jensen of Hot Springs Village and Mike Lamb of Lenoir City, TN; his sister, Stephanie (Paul) Riley of Hot Springs Village; his nephew, Connor Riley of Hot Springs Village; his “Estella,” Crystal; the “Chili Bowl” gang; and a motley crew of friends and extended family.

Jeff Lamb, “life is made of so many partings welded together,” and your parting has changed us forever. You are part of our existence, part of ourselves. You have been in every line we have ever read since we first came here. You are greatly loved and greatly missed.
