James Terry Montgomery, 75, of Roland, AR died Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born in Forrest City, AR on September 25, 1948, to Lloyd and Louise Montgomery.
He served four years in the Air Force, then went back to finish his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at ASU. He worked in agriculture selling chemicals and seeds until he retired from Armor Seed in 2012.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Montgomery, his mother Louise Montgomery, and his sister Janet Findley. He is survived by his darlin’ wife Cindy of 53 years; his sons Tye (Cindy) of Benton, AR & Tym (Renee) of Star City, AR; his beloved grandchildren: Emily, Rhyne Kate, and Trysten; and his brother, Mark (Debbie) of Forrest City; and a host of nieces of nephews.
He had a servant's heart. He loved serving his family, church, and community. He was a treasured member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Little Rock. He passed away while doing what he loved. He was working on a drum stand for his church in his wood shop.
No doubt he was greeted in heaven by Jesus, and surely, he was told “well done my good and faithful servant.” This is not good-bye, simply a “see-you-later". His legacy in life was to see his sons and their families know and love the Lord as much as he did.
In honoring his final wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. If you wish to honor him, humbly serve your family, church, or community.
Arrangements by Arkansas Cremation, 10515 W Markham St, Ste B1, Little Rock, AR 72205.
