In humble submission to the will of our Almighty God, we celebrate the homegoing of our beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend in the person of James E. Lettries, Jr.
James Jr. was born the eldest son to the union of Vicky Hamilton and James E. Lettries Sr. on September 6th, 1979 in Frankfurt Am-Main Hessen, Germany.
James Jr. lovingly called Little James was an amazing child. At the young age of 8 years, he willingly gave life to Christ and was baptized at the First Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Alan K. Brown.
James Jr. also loved school. James moved to Longview, Texas in his junior high school years. He joined and was baptized at Longview Baptist Temple, and attended Longview Baptist Academy from where he graduated. He is neat and orderly. He participates in activities promptly and willingly. James Jr. follows directions. He works independently and disciplines himself. Those annotations and reflections were reverberated throughout his life’s journey because that is exactly the way he lived his personal and professional life.
Born into a family legacy rich in military service, James Jr. joined the United States Air Force in 1999 following in the footsteps of his grandfathers and father (Charles W. Lettries Sr., Ruben Hamilton and James E. Lettries Sr. ) Airman James Jr. Served his country with dignity, with vigor and with honor.
