James Willis Harris, of Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at McClellan Memorial VA Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, after a valiant battle with Dementia at the age of 91.
James was born to parents, Teddie and Clady Harris, on October 23, 1924, in Batesville, Arkansas. He retired from the U.S. Navy and Civil Service in San Diego, California.
James will be dearly missed by family and friends, because he was a loving father, brother, grand-father, great grand-father, uncle, and veteran. He will be remembered for being a very hard worker, his sense of humor, his ability to tell great stories, and his generosity. Everyone that came in counter with him knew that he was the definition of strength, wisdom, and love.
The family will have a private service at a later date. The family is grateful for all the condolences and sends special heartfelt thanks to the Little Rock and North Little VA staff.
