James P. Van Eenige, 67, husband of Linda L. Van Eenige of Little Rock, AR, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock, AR.
Born June 1, 1948, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Henry M. Van Eenige and the late Ella Van Eenige (Morton).
James attended Proviso West High School (1966), Hillside, IL, and earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1972). James was an artist and photographer starting his own business as Meridian Design, Inc. of Northbrook, IL in 1977. He pre-retired to Arkansas in 2005.
He is survived by son Eric Shank Van Eenige, daughter Jaime Van Eenige and his wife Linda of Chicago; daughter-in-law Nadia and granddaughter Ella of Goshen, IN. He is also survived by his brothers John, Richard, Michael, sister Elizabeth and by niece Lynn Van Eenige, plus cousins Cecilia (Dennis) Borecki, Robert (Janis) Jandrisits, Patricia (Daniel) Lorimer and Alice (Shiela Clements) Jandrisits, Tony Morton (Sonia).
A 15 minute memorial service is planned Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL, 60162. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL at a later date.
