Iva Knowles

Iva Burns Knowles, age 83, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on May 24, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at Edgewood Memorial Park 4200 Division, North Little Rock on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

A toast to Iva’s life will be held at Cregeen’s Irish Pub located at 301 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114 on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 6:30 pm.

Iva was born in North Little Rock on January 1, 1938. She graduated from North Little Rock – Ole Main and lived in Central Arkansas for most of her life. Iva was a hard worker and continued to work five days a week at McDaniel & Co. until the pandemic hit in 2020. She enjoyed living on the farm and taking care of her animals which included dogs, cats, and even a family of raccoons.

Iva is survived by brother-in-law Bob Engelberger (Pat). Nieces and nephews - Tammy Nicolo, Nicki Nicolo, Nick & Bennie Nicolo, Matt Nicolo, Mary Iva and Greg Barrett of Central Arkansas. Fred, Ed, Herb, Baxter and Bruce Sharp of California. She will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

Iva is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dr. William M. Burns for whom Burns Park is named, her parents Herbert and Willie Ward Burns, brother Bill Burns (Valda), sisters Janice Sharp (Ed), Marion Faye Nicolo (Nick) and Martha Rossi Engelberger.
