Harlan "Harry" George, age 71, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on February 27th, 2014 surrounded by family that loved him dearly. Harry was born July 18th, 1942 in Little Rock to the late Arnold and Dorothy George. Harry was a graduate from Little Rock Central High in 1959. Shortly after, he joined the Navy and was stationed in California. He then returned home where he became a successful entrepreneur managing George’s Fixtures and Gallup’s Western Store. Harry was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian man. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and was affectionately known as "Popa" to his grandchildren. Harry is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Janet Wilson-George, parents, Arnold and Dorothy George; sister, Doris George, three brothers, Harold, Arnold Jr., and his twin brother Larry George. He is survived by his son Todd W. George Shelia and daughter Tori George. Five grandchildren: Ava Grace and Luke George, Callie Katlen, Mattie Marie, and Lillie LaRue George-Dawson and numerous other relatives and friends. Harry was a remarkable man by all who knew him.
