Gerald L. Morgan passed away Thursday, June 25 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born November 10, 1944 in Mena, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Ward Morgan, his sister, Julia Rudiger Robison, nephew, Larry Rudiger and a host of cousins and special friends. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Alice and Adrain Morgan, a niece, Cassandra Rudiger Esquirol, and a special four-legged companion, Biscuit Morgan.
He was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church, a former member of Fordyce United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a loyal employee of 30+ years of Smith Wholesale Company in Fordyce, Arkansas. Jerry loved to hunt and fish, but his true love was golf.
Through the years he encouraged multitudes of Betty’s music students and formed a bond that exists even today. He will be missed by all of them, too numerous to name.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27 at 10:30 AM at Highland Valley United Methodist Church, 15524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. Services entrusted to Arkanas Cremation. www.arkansascremation.com
