Garret Rorie

Garret “Lamar” Rorie, was born in Flint, Michigan to the late John Earle Richardson and Ida Rorie Brown

on Dec 12, 1964. He later moved to Arkansas in the mid 1980’s and had been a resident of Monticello,

AR since 1989. Garret was one of the hardest working people ever, he always gave 110% on any job he

was on and took great pride in his work. He held many different jobs in his lifetime, serving in the

managerial or supervisor fields on many of them. He was employed by Walmart at the time of his death

where he had been a Customer Service Manager.

Garret was called to rest on January 28, 2021. Garret spent 31 years united in love, with the love of his

life Patricia, left to cherish his memory along with her are son, Tequarius Rorie of Monticello, AR,

daughters, Quante’a Rorie and Victoria (Will) Greenlee, of Benton, AR, sister Victoria Draine of Saginaw,

Michigan, 3 grand children Seyona, Lazariyha and Willie, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close sister

like friend of many years Georgia Martin, special close friend Patricia Thomas and many other cherished

friends. He was preceded in death by mother and father. No services planned at this time due to the

pandemic. There will be a celebration of Garret’s life at a later date. Arrangements handled by Arkansas

Cremation.
