Ellen Haight

Ellen Haight, 63, of Hot Springs, passed away January 22, 2022. She was born September 14, 1958, in Hot Springs to Roy and Louise Humphreys.

Ellen loved the Lord. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she taught vacation Bible school, Sunday school and volunteered in the fitness ministry. She taught children the word of God every week at Bible Study Fellowship.

Ellen graduated from Lake Hamilton High School and University of Arkansas. She taught home economics for 28 years at Mountain Pine High School.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Duke; her sons, Austin, Andrew (Breanne), Derek (Jejey), and Chris (Heather); and her sisters, Deborah Walty, Virginia Kraft.

She enjoyed camping, crafting, sunset cruises, basketball, pickleball, yoga and spending time with her family.

There will be a memorial, to celebrate her life at First Baptist Church , 2350 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901. Friday, January 28. The visitation will be at 9am and the service will be at 10am. The family will have a private burial at a later date.
