Dortha (Roberts) LaBan, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 10 2017 surrounded by family. "Dot", a resident of The Pines, made new friends, brought a smile to her fellow residents and laughed a lot. Born Dortha Fae Price, July 6, 1931 in Tuskahoma, OK. She graduated from Ralls (TX) High School where she met and married Verle Roberts, had 4 children and became a hairdresser. After Verle’s passing, they moved to Dallas, where she "got all her kids grown" and moved to Hot Springs, AR eventually retiring. Dot enjoyed dancing where she met husband Ted Laban, member of the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders. After retiring, she worked as a seamstress as well as working 11 summers at Yellowstone.
Dortha’s strong faith and trust in God gives her family peace, knowing she will be greeted by those that preceded her and will be able to dance once again. She is preceded in death by parents, George W. and Mabel Price, husbands Verle Roberts and Theodore H. Laban, son-in-law David Kass and grandson Robbie Roberts. She is survived by 4 children, Nanette Roberts, Melvin Roberts, Norma Kass, Beverly (& Dale) Phillips, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
