Debra Jean Baglio

December 3, 1959 — March 8, 2024

Mayflower, Arkansas

Debra Jean Perkins (Baglio) was born on December 3 rd , 1959 to D.J. Perkins and Patricia Ann Spargo-Perkins. She passed away on March 8th, 2024 at the age of 64, after a two-year battle with ovarian cancer. Despite the pain, Debbie kept a cheerful attitude and stayed strong until the end.
Henrietta, Texas was home to Debbie and her mother, Pat, and two younger sisters, Jan and Cindy for most of her life. She was surrounded by a host of extended family, including grandparents Harold and Viola Spargo, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Most lived in other areas of Texas but the annual family reunions in Gordon, Texas brought a great deal of happiness to Debbie and she seldom missed one. She loved gardening and found beauty in her gorgeous spring flowers and daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious and family and friends enjoyed visiting with her.
Conversations were always lengthy, as were her emails and texts. Many of us will miss our marathon phone calls as Debbie spoke with the distinct Texas drawl that she never lost.
As an adult, Debbie moved to Arkansas and worked in Little Rock at Home Depot. She enjoyed her small community of Mayflower.
Debbie’s father passed away when she was very young. She lost her mother in 2013 and both sisters passed in 2014. A few years later, her only child, an adopted daughter, Krystal, also departed this earth. She is survived by her large extended family and friends and her long-term partner of over 22 years, Eddie Sledge and their beloved dog Dillinger.
