David Eugene Doggett

David Eugene Doggett, age 76, of Benton, AR, went to be with the Lord November 21, 2023. He was born November 20, 1947 in Stephenville, TX to the late Junior and Adelina Doggett.

David was also preceded in death by his brother Stanley Doggett, Michael Doggett and a sister, Elizabeth Doggett. He is survived by his previous wife, Donna Doggett, his son, Chris (Mary Ann) Doggett of Benton, and three grandchildren, Tripp Doggett, Taylor Doggett and Stella Doggett; and his sister Terri (Bo) Eck of McKinney, TX.

David was a proud Army Veteran. With almost 9 years in service, he fought in the Vietnam War and made it to the rank of Captain. He was proud to serve our country and even more proud that his grandson, Tripp Doggett has followed in his footsteps.

David was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway for over thirty years. During that time he led Sunday school and gave multiple morning devotions. He loved the staff and people of Antioch.

There were a lot of things that David enjoyed. Watching the Razorbacks, talking about the Razorbacks, breakfasts at Bob’s Grill with Stanley and the other old-timers, fishing on Lake Conway and his grandkids. He never missed an opportunity to brag about any of his grandkids and took every opportunity to spoil them that he could.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 25 at 12:00pm at Collective Church, 3230 Marketplace Ave., Bryant, AR 72019. All arrangements should be sent to David Doggett 2201 E. Longhills, Benton, AR 72019 and then they will be taken to the church on Saturday.
