Brice Carroll

May 4, 1952 — January 20, 2022

Brice Quinn Carroll, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away January 20, 2022.

Brice married his high school sweetheart, Sharon, and they began their family while he completed a B.A.in Accounting. After graduation from Oklahoma State University, he worked as a corporate accountant in Oklahoma, Texas, and later in Utah. He and Sharon were blessed to raise 3 sons. Brice was a dedicated and loving family man. Brice and Sharon have been married 50 years.

A tough and determined man, he endured his life-long challenge with Becker muscular dystrophy with strength and dignity. With the steadfast and loving attention of his wife, Brice defied all professional predictions by living to age 69 and a half.

During his retirement as a Lake Catherine resident, Brice became a hobby author. He wrote several humorous shorts about life with MD which were published in Quest, Muscular Dystrophy Association’s magazine. In a hilarious family favorite article entitled “Grandparenting from a Wheelchair”, this Super Grandad (as his grandchildren affectionately called him) said in his own words, “I’ve always loved children”. His final published work was the western novel Mountain Valley Gold.

Two brothers, Paul & Ronnie (Sandi), survive while he was recently preceded in death by another brother, Cliff (Barbara), and his mother, Mildred. He will be remembered by many and missed most of all by his wife Sharon, Jason (son) & Jen, Chris (son) & Heather, Travis (son), 4 granddaughters –Monterey, Presley, Andreana, & Brynn, 2 grandsons – Elijah & Micah Quinn, and his faithful canine companion, Maggie.

The family will host a celebration of life at a future date TBA.
