Braxton “BK” Kyle Atkins, 15, of White Hall, Arkansas, entered the presence of the Lord on January 23, 2025. Braxton was a beloved 15-year-old son to Cara Pickard Powell and Connor Powell, brother, friend, and student.
Braxton was born May 5, 2009, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Braxton was known for his bright smile, infectious laughter, and a heart that touched everyone he met. A passionate young man with a love for football, basketball, and his favorites - hunting and fishing. He filled his days with curiosity and energy. His friends and family will remember him for his warmth, compassion, and the kindness he showed to others. In school, Braxton was admired for his dedication and natural curiosity. He had dreams and aspirations that stretched far beyond his years, always seeking to understand the world around him. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. He was a quick-witted young man whose smile could light up a room. Braxton rarely missed a chance to pick on his siblings.
Braxton was preceded in death by several great-grandparents, Betty Ketcher, Claud and JoAnn Eubanks, Hollis Pickard, and Zonna Feken. Braxton leaves behind his loving parents, Cara and Connor Powell; his siblings, Coralea Hurd, Charlotte Powell, and Silas Powell; grandparents, Greg and Pam Ketcher, Christina DePriest, Steve and Cristina Pickard; great-grandfather, Dean Feken; great-grandmother, Jimmie Timmerman; biological father Cody Atkins, aunts and uncles, Logan and Jordyn Pickard, Carson and Richard Ewing, Camryn and Mark Swiger; as well as countless friends who cherished his friendship and camaraderie. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the impact he made on those who loved him will last a lifetime.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 beginning at 10:00AM at Sulpher Springs Baptist Church (9127 Sulpher Springs Rd. Pine Bluff, AR 71603).
Rest in peace, BK. You will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.
