Barbara Maxwell

Barbara Griffing Maxwell, age 66, of Mabelvale, Arkansas was born October 14, 1944 in Winnsboro, La and went to seep in the arms of our God Jehovah on January 26, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Barbara was a faithful Witness of Jehovah for more than 40 years, and attended the Southwest Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mabelvale, AR where she lived. A celebration of her life will be held at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Mabelvale West at 3:30 on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Barbara attended and graduated from Winnsboro High School in Winnsboro, La; she attended North Louisiana Sate University in Monroe, La and Louisiana Tech in Ruston, La and received her nursing degree from Warner Brown School of Nursing in ElDorado, Ar. Barbara had a long and fullfiling nursing career in Texas providing loving care for her patients. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and Dr. Makhoul at Baptist Health ICUS for their loving care of her while their patient. Barbara was preceeded in death by Paternal Grandparents, Byron and Laura Griffing; Maternal Grandparents, Kirby and Sina Magee; Father, Dr. Asa Robert Griffing; Sister. Pamela Griffing Fischer. She is survived by sons Byron O. Newman and wife Michelle of Mesquite , TX; W Kyle Newman and Wife Jody of Rowlett, Tx, Mother Margaret Magee Griffing of Clinton Arkansas, Sister Alcina Griffing Battenfield and husband Tom of Clinton, grandchildren Haley Newman, Zachery Newman, Madeline Newman, London Newman and Reece Newman all of Texas; loving nephew Patrick Collier and wife Sharon, nephews Richard Johnston, Robert Johnston and wife Kay Lynn; neices Dawn McNeice and Laurel Gunn; grand neices and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Pet Rescue in Hot Springs, Ar.
