Allen Smith

Mr. Allen Lewis Smith passed away on November 4th, 2021 in his home in Story, Arkansas at the age of 63.

Allen was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas to and is preceded in death by his parents Judy Laverne Thorp Smith and Orrell “Red” Smith.

Allen is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Schnaper-Smith, three loving  sons, Jonathan Schnaper Smith, Jamie Smith, and Mark Smith (Larissa), two adoring daughters, Samantha Dennis and Savannah Smith, his life's joy his 10 grandchildren Jade, Julius, Markis, Brealynn, Cayson, McKenna, Harmonie, Rylan, Camden, and Weston.

He graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in 1976 and received a degree from Garland County Community College in 2012. He was an industrial painter of great skill and experience. Allen and his wife retired to a small farm in Story where they enjoyed gardening, and fishing in nearby Lake Ouachita. Allen was a mentor to a great many young people who regularly sought his wisdom.

The family would like to express thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses that cared for Allen during his long battle with cancer, most especially Amy Stvartak, Dr. Roy T. Webb, and dear Nurse Vonda.

There will be a memorial celebration of life at a later date.
