Allan Olson

Olson, Allan Wayne, age 78, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away August 31, 2015. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alyce Olson of Madison, MN; and brother, Donald Olson (Ginny). He is survived by his life partner Valarie Dawson, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; children: David Olson of Rio Rancho, NM and Timothy (Diane) Olson of Burnsville, MN; grandchildren: Sophia, Megan, and Benjamin; brothers: Harlowe (Marilyn), Charles (JoAnn), Roger (Rachel); and many close friends.
Al spent his youth growing up on the family farm in Madison, MN, alongside his five brothers. He proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps, after which he raised a family. Later in life, he found enjoyment traveling in the RV with Valerie. Al was an extremely resourceful man who loved to tinker around and could fix almost anything. He made friends easily wherever he went, and his many friends would say he lived life to its fullest. Al was always the first to offer help to others, but the last to ask for it.
