Aldon “Wayne” Phillips, 73, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away in his home on May 20th, 2020, with his loved ones at his side.
Wayne was born in San Pedro, California to Lorinzey Dow and Mattie Mae Phillips on October 28th, 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Phillips of Malvern; three sons, Ronnie (Tammy) Phillips of Hot Springs Village, Ricky Len Lambert of Malvern, and James “Eric” Lambert of Kentucky; one brother, Weldon Dow Phillips of Pearcy; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces; nephews; cousins, and dear friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lorinzey and Mattie Mae Phillips; daughter, Teresa Marie Yates; a great-granddaughter, Gabriel Phillips, and nine siblings, Benny, Burniss, Dorthey, Hilbert, Howard, Lloyd, Lorine, Jessie, and an infant sister Geraldine.
A memorial service will be held at Grand Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 13th, 2020 at 11:00 am. Wayne has been a member of the Grand Chapel since July 19th, 2009. Bro. Sonny Porterfield will be officiating the memorial.
Wayne’s smiles, crazy funny jokes, and kindness will be forever missed.
