William W. Heimbaugh, Jr., 74, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away November 1, 2017 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by his family. He was born in Duluth, Minnesota to William Heimbaugh, Sr. and Jean McDonald. He was the oldest of four children. He owned an insurance claims business for most of his career and retired early to Florida where he built a life that he loved. He enjoyed boating and became very active in the Power Squadron where he served as Captain and logged countless hours of volunteer work. He found love with Caroline Bargren and they built a life on the water surrounded by friends. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters Jessica Heimbaugh Joheim (Meredith Joheim), and Jennifer Heimbaugh of Little Rock, Arkansas; his grandchildren Sydney, Layne, Mylo, and Ryan Joheim, and Ruby Simpson, all of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters Sandy Dunn of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Patsy Peterson (Dave Peterson) of Avandale, Pennsylvania, and Annie Strothkamp (BJ Strothkamp) of Bettendorf, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents. At his request, there will be no service. Thank you to the staff at Arkansas Hospice who provided him with comfort at the end of his life. Our family will be forever grateful to Lou Ann Cauthron who cared for him and gave him peace and companionship in his final days. Contributions in his name can be made to Arkansas Hospice.
