Sr. Eddie Thomas
July 5, 1935 — December 11, 2017
Eddie Wayne Thomas, Sr., 82 of Hardy, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on December 11, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born July 5, 1935, in Tennessee, to the late Joseph Wilson Thomas and Mable Edith Stuart Thomas.
After his service in the Marines, Eddie settled in Cherokee Village, where he raised his family and sold real estate. Later in life, you could find him walking his furry companion, Punkin, along the Spring River in Hardy.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Wayne Thomas, Jr., and his seven siblings.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lynnette Gourley (Brent); son, Wilson Thomas; four grandchildren, Amy, Katie, Bethanie, and Erica, as well as a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Lakewood Nursing and Rehab, Arkansas Hospice, and Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Eddie.
Inurnment will be in the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, in Sherwood.
