Robert S. ‘Bob’ Peters, Jr., 89, of Little Rock, AR, passed away Sunday June 6, 2021.  He was born in Little Rock to Robert S. and Frances Trapp Peters.  Bob graduated from Little Rock Catholic High School, before earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Arkansas State Teachers College (now University of Central Arkansas).

Bob owned Peters MFA Insurance Agency and Peters Travel Agency, both of Little Rock before a short time teaching at South Central Career College in North Little Rock.  He retired from Printing Services at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Bob was also a Naval Reserve retiree.

Bob enjoyed travel, hunting, fishing and Cardinal baseball.  He was a charter member of the Little Rock Ski Club, Past President of West Little Rock Optimist Club, Past President of SKAL Club of Little Rock and Past Exalted Ruler of North Little Rock Elks Lodge #1004.

He was an Honorary Life Member of the Third and Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus achieving Past State Deputy of Arkansas; Former Arkansas District Master; Former Vice Supreme Master, Bienville Province; Past Faithful Navigator, Bishop Andrew Byrne Assembly # 24, member of Council 812 Little Rock; and Past Grand Chancellor, Order for the Fleur de Lis.

Bob is a long-time member of the Cathedral of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Little Rock, AR where he served as a eucharist minister and in other capacities.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and Brother George L. Peters.  He is survived by his sister-in-law Martha Lou Blackwell Peters of Bakersville NC; nephews, Graham L. Peters (Cynthia) of Mooresville, NC; Mark G. Peters of Bakersville, NC; and Robert W. Peters (Jena) of Charlotte, NC:  niece Mara Lynn Peters of Columbia, SC and a cousin Betty Lou Sutton of Denton, MD.

Rosary will be held on June 17, 2021 at 1:30 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, 617 Louisiana St.  Little Rock with a Chalice Ceremony following.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin immediately afterwards at 2;00 pm.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock, AR.
