Richard Helms

Richard Paul Helms, 82, of Dover died Thursday, May 12, 2011. He was born September 11, 1928, to Wesley and Edreth Helms. He was a United States Navy veteran, a volunteer for Area Agency on Aging and although not wealthy, always willing to share with those less fortunate. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Helms of Dover and a sister, Mary Louise Gilbert of California. Survivors include his beloved wife Ruth Clarene Helms of Dover; a brother, John Helms of California; a daughter, Donna McMinn and husband James of Dover; three sons: Randy Helms and wife Debbie of Bryant, Rocky Helms and wife Bonnie of Alexander, and Gary Helms and wife Debbie of Trophy Club, Texas; Eight grandchildren: Kedrinh Helms and wife Connie of Bella Vista, Debbie Smith, Melissa Freeman and husband Jeffery, Patricia Smith and husband Harlin, Brad McMinn and wife Michelle all of Dover; Chris Helms of Springdale, Erin Argo and husband Charles of Muncie, Indiana, Matthew Helms of Little Rock and 15 great grandchildren.
