Philip Grendell Sr

Philip Lee Grendell died unexpectedly on 12/16/16 in Searcy AR. at the age of 73.

Phil is survived by his wife Joann of Newport AR, daughter Teri Grendell (Nick) of Newport, daughter Meri Mihm (Ernest) of Newport, son Phillip Grendell Jr. (Jessica) of Salt Lake City, UT, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Phil was born on March 7, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Helen and Bonnie "Benjamin" Grendell. In 1960 he joined the Navy where he proudly served his country for 6 years. He married Joann July 28, 1962. After moving to Newport, Phil began working for the city of Newport. He also owned his own business and worked for Jacksonport State Park where he retired. A Memorial Service is scheduled on 12/26/16 from 4pm-6pm at Diaz City Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Phil’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 518 James St, Newport, AR.
