Michael Sheets

Michael Blaine Sheets, 37, of England Arkansas, won his final battle on Earth on Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was a fighter. He never gave up, no matter what the battle. He always went out of his way to help others and would literally give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He loved his fiancé, children and family with all his heart. His battle with cancer was long and frustrating for him, but more often than not, he faced it with optimism, determination and even a sense of humor. He was a guy people loved to hang out with. He never met a stranger and opened his home to anyone in need. He worked with his hands at carpentry and remodeling. He attended Cabot High School where he played football, and Arkansas State University .He always wanted to learn new things and absorb as much knowledge as possible because he hated to lose an argument. He loved fast cars and 80s and 90s rock. He was stubborn and competitive making it nearly impossible to win an argument with him. Although he had lost the ability to walk in the months prior to his trip to Heaven, there is no doubt that he walked straight into the gates, fist bumped Jesus, and thanked Him for letting him hang out at His house. We will miss him every day until we get to walk with him again. It was also very important to him for his brothers and sister to know that he was Mommas favorite.
He is survived by his fiancé Summer Smith and her family, daughters Ashlynn, Karson and Whitley, Mother and step father, Kim and Shane Taylor, Father and step mother Bill and Chris Sheets, Brothers Matthew, Mark and Jeff, sister Heather, step sisters Amber and Katie, step brother Nick, Grandmother Dorothy Sheets, a special aunt and Uncle, Rachael and Sean "Bon Jovi" Bowen, and many extended family and friends as well as his first grandbaby on the way.
A Celebration of Life will be 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Pavilion #9 at Burns Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. Guests may register at www.ArkansasCremation.com.
