Madeleine (Garlea) Rooney, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2015 at her home in Guy. She was born April 7, 1926, in Paris, France, to the late Eugene and Annie (Scholz) Garlea. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Rooney.
Madeleine was a naturalized United States Citizen and proud to be an American. She and her husband Johnny met after World War II, and were both proud to live in the land of the free.
She is survived by her daughter, Florence Yeager and husband Ernie of Jasper; son, Willard Rooney and wife Diane of Guy; five grandsons, Johnny Rooney, Daniel Rooney, Patrick Rooney, Ernie Yeager III and Charles Yeager; granddaughter, Cindy Moore; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her beloved doggies, Patches and Bobbie Lilly.
A graveside service will be at 11:00am, Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy with Jimmy Fielder officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
