Jerry B. Walker, Sr., passed away, Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was born October 18, 1950 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His parents are the late- Andrew and Mary Walker.
Jerry went to high school at Merrill High, where he says he was the star Quarterback. He went to college at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff where he completed his Associates Degree in Sociology. Jerry was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After his time with the Navy, Jerry was employed by the United States Postal Service. Jerry joined First Trinity C.O.G.I.C. In his earlier years, where he became active and was an ordained Deacon. He enjoyed reading the Bible, motivational novels, and other literature. He spent most of his time talking on the phone with his children, and loved ones. He also enjoyed music, singing, and giving back to the community. He was a selfless man who will be greatly missed; however we will celebrate and rejoice in having to have shared priceless moments with him.
He leaves to mourn his passing his five children: Jerry Jr. (Shay Walker) -Scott (Dana Walker)- Frisco, TX; Christian (Sharyse Walker)- Atlanta, Ga.; Victoria Walker- Dallas, TX; and Samuel Walker- Dallas, TX. He leaves to mourn his passing six grandchildren; Jerrica, Scott Jr., Keyvon, Amaya, Christian, and Rumble. He leaves to mourn his passing four brothers and two sisters: the late Larry Walker, Jackie Gray, Frederick Walker, Kenneth Walker, Delores Ann Jones and Freda Billings. He also leaves behind a plethora of nieces and nephews.
Home Going Services will be 2:00 p.m., September 15, 2017 at Arkansas Cremation Chapel, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, AR with Military Honors delivered.
A private family inurnment will occur at a later date at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.
