Jeremiah Williams, loving husband and father of four, went to heaven on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the age of 59. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his father, Clark; mother, Wanda; and sister, Tabitha. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Holly; daughters, Natasha, Julianna, Christa, and Millennia; grandchildren, Bailey and Datsun; and siblings, Ken, Terri, Ruth, Matthew, and Mary.
Jeremiah was born on May 22, 1961 in Covington, Kentucky to Clark and Wanda Williams. After attending Holmes High School, he studied broadcasting at Northern Kentucky University and Colombia School of Broadcasting. This prepared him for his role of Disc Jockey for country music station B-105 WUBE in Cincinnati, Ohio and southern gospel station WIOK in Falmouth, Kentucky. Jeremiah grew in his career at Muzak over the years, progressing to the role of Service Manager. He later served as a Lead Field Engineer at Fujitsu America. Most recently, he worked as a Senior Support Engineer for Curvature and Park Place. Jeremiah was known by many as an unconventional innovator and was a valued mentor to those around him.
On November 1, 1980 he married his high school sweetheart, Holly Maines. He was a sweet and loving husband. Together, they raised four beautiful daughters. As a family, they traveled across the country, calling themselves “Campers for Christ”. This ministry included passing out gospel tracts to everyone that would accept them and praying for many people along the way. Jeremiah was a man filled with the Holy Spirit and his love of the Lord directed all of his steps. After attending Fred Grewe Ministry training, he remained in ministry throughout his life. Jeremiah had the honor of assisting the ministry team from Heritage Fellowship Church at the Bradford, England tent revival. He also provided prayer for those physically and spiritually afflicted at Promise Keepers in Washington, D.C. During his time in Arkansas, he served as a cameraman for Rock City Harvest Church in Sherwood, Arkansas and later on the security team for New Life Church at the Greater Little Rock, Conway, and Mayflower campuses.
Jeremiah’s mission was to save lives both spiritually and physically. Upon completing training with the Latonia Lakes, Kentucky and Crestview Hills, Kentucky Police Departments, he volunteered as a First Responder and Firefighter for the cities of Crestview Hills, Peach Grove, and Falmouth, Kentucky. As a member of REACT and Water Rescue of Kentucky, he helped save many lives. Jeremiah had his eye on the sky as a Weather Spotter with Sky Warn of Northern Kentucky and Central Arkansas, and would weather any storm to report the conditions. He prided himself in being a survivalist and always encouraged his friends and family to remain vigilant and prepared for any disaster.
Jeremiah was always tinkering with electronics and loved everything technology related. Even as a child, he would take things apart to see how they worked. One of his favorite hobbies was using handheld radios. He was certified as an Amateur Radio Operator (HAM), which allowed him to speak with many people around the world. The skills he learned proved valuable in several other areas of his life, such as monitoring emergency response channels, assisting in landing an air ambulance, and improving an FBI field training exercise.
Jeremiah’s bold and energetic personality, along with a light-hearted sense of humor, made him the life of every party and family get-together. He made everyone feel as though they belonged and were special. His love for God was inspiring, and many people grew closer to the Lord because of him. Jeremiah was one of a kind and left a lasting legacy on this earth. This is not the end of his story; we can find joy in knowing that we will see him again one day in heaven.
