III Eubanks

With deep sadness we announce the death of Robert Manley Eubanks, III, who died at home in Little Rock on Friday, April 15.
Bob was a loving father to Robert Shell Eubanks and husband for 30 years to Kimberly Blakely Eubanks. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Eubanks Murchison and her husband Clint of Dallas, TX, his nieces Alice Sloan Monroe and Catherine Coleman Murchison and nephews John Currie Sloan, Jr. and Neill Moore Sloan II. He was affectionately known to family and friends as "Bobby Doll", a name given to him by his niece Alice when she was 3.
He is predeceased in death by his parents Robert Manley and Alice Lincoln Eubanks and his older sister Alice.
Bob was born in Little Rock on March 7, 1952. Educated in Arkansas, Bob attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. During this time, he spent weekends with the Arkansas Air National Guard as a map charting specialist. He held top clearance while mapping the island of Cuba. Not to spoil his appearance, he wore a blond wig to avoid a military haircut.
After graduating from Arkansas Law School, Bob backpacked solo around the world. It was an exciting and challenging trip he loved to reminisce about. obOn returning home, Bob served as Pulaski County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney until his appointment by Bill Clinton as Arkansas State Insurance Commissioner. He then joined the Mitchell Law firm.
Bob was very active in civic life, serving on many charitable boards. In 1994, he was elected Mayor of Cammack Village.
Bob loved the Arkansas outdoors, especially time spent in the duck woods with his son Shell.
Bob was a devoted father, husband and brother. He leaves behind a multitude of friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Honorary pall bearers include: Gar Eisele, Don Bratcher, Gerald Hannahs, John Compton, Woody Bassett, Gardner Bogle and Scott Trotter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210 or Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th Street, Little Rock, AR 72206. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. Guests may register at www.ArkansasCremation.com.
