Eugene (Tom) Skiles

Eugene T. Skiles (Tom) age 80, passed away December 15, 2022. Born June 30th, 1942, in Greenville, TN to Eugene Otis Skiles and Lina Lucille Skiles. Tom spent his childhood in Knoxville, TN and graduated young High School in 1959.  He graduated college with a BS in Agriculture in 1968 from Tennessee Tech University.

1970-1983 Tom built homes and was a general contractor, specialized in masonry. In 1983 her moved his family to Arkansas to manage a cattle ranch for two years before returning to masonry. He also taught construction classes at Pulaski Technical College before retiring in 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janis T. Skiles, daughters, Leanne Parchman, Robin Taylor, and Ryann Campbell, three grandchildren, Haley Harness, Thomas Parchman, and Hannah Taylor, great-granddaughter, Blakely Harness. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Lina Lou Mixon.

Rodeo and horses were a great part on Tom’s life. He passed this love to his daughters. Tom loved his family and taught them kindness and honesty. He will missed but never forgotten.
