Erma Halford

Erma Neal Halford, 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, was born July 16, 1931 in Beebe, Aarkansas, and died February 12, 2015. She graduated Beebe High School in 1948 and attended Bethel College. She worked at the Highway Dept., was a CPA. Along with her husband, Woodrow Washington Halford, Erma owned and operated several businesses throughout her life, including a Texaco station in Little Rock. She was a member of Friends of His Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Erma is survived by her children, Erma Lea Shipley of Oklahoma, Gary Samuel Halford of Maryland and the Reverend Angela Denise Halford of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow “Woody”; her father, Elza Earl Neal; her mother, Lillie Mabel McKinney Neal; brothers, the Reverend Kermit Elza Neal and Beal Neal.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Cremation and Funeral Service of Arkansas.
