Dortha Gene Rodrian, 96, of North Little Rock, died April 29, 2015. She was born on a snowy day February 8, 1919 in Paragould, AR, to the late Willam A. and Lillie (Crocket) Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband of forty years, James H. Rodrian; three brothers, Earnest and Harding Fletcher and Wilson Crocket; four sisters, Dale Price, Lucy Fletcher, Jesse Yopp and Berta Davis.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Rodrian and Susan Schaffer; three granddaughters, Molly Rose Poff and husband Jack of West Memphis, Alexis Eastin and husband Josh of Portland, Oregon, and Madison Shaffer of Washington, DC; one adorable great- grandson, Jackson Schaffer Poff of West Memphis.
Dortha graduated from Greene County High School. She was a long time member of Second Baptist and worked in a daycare for many years. She was known as Memaw, Aunt Dot and Fletch.
She was an avid reader, a wonderful seamstress, cook, mother and friend. She could make a biscuit, ride a horse and drive a buggy before ten years old. She met life with grace and was a gracious and humbled soul.
Dortha will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Amirnia and her lovely staff and also Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab for their care.
