Donald Ray Willett (D.R.) of Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of Pollock, Lousiana, passed from this life at his residence on July 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam and was retired after 26 years from Proctor and Gamble. Donald was a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an active participant in NHRA Drag Racing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Aline Willett; and grandson Billy R. Longino, III.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Anita Ann Willett; two sons, Donald Ray Willett, II of Searcy, and Matt Hammons of Pollock; two daughters, Mashonda Goodman (Larry) of Georgetown; Kim Willett of Georgetown; one brother, Keith Willett (Tomi) of Pollock; six grandsons, Austin, Cody, Braden, Christian, Camden and Donald, III; one granddaughter, Brittney; four great-grandchildren Addalyn, Emmalyn, Cadence, Paisley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Big Creek Baptist Church in Pollock, Louisiana, with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery.
