Connie L. Weiser, 67, of Greenbrier, Arkansas was called home May 25, 2016, by her Heavenly Father.
Connie was known for her compassion for others. A loving Mother and Grandmother. Remembered for her selfless generosity and volunteerism throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and fur babies. Often you could find her crocheting, crafting, enjoying a flea market or auction, shopping for her grandkids, or helping anyone who needed her.
Connie came into this world into a large family in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived for her family, instilling the value of family and love above all else. She later relocated to Arkansas where she made a home and though she was far from home, she created her own large family here. She was known for "adopting" those who needed love, be it human or animal, she would give as much as she could to care for them and make them feel loved.
Connie had a love of all of God’s creatures. She was especially proud of her most exotic fur babies, Kris and Chance, her capuchin monkeys. They brought her great joy over the years. Connie had originally went to school to become a surgical technician, no doubt as a result of her draw to care for others. Very soon after she was married she had a different calling. Connie always talked about how she wanted to be a Mother, she wanted to have a large family of her own. While waiting on God to bless her with this family she so longed for she became a foster parent. For many years she cared for children who needed love and support, which she was happy to give.
After her own children came a long she started to volunteer in just about everything they did. You would find her coaching baseball, working concession stands, organizing fundraisers, helping with girl scouts and many other things. Baseball to football, girl scouts to softball, wherever she could help or make a difference, there she would be.
While Connie is now leaving this world and moving on to greater things, she has certainly left her mark. A love of family, the value of giving, and devotion to helping others.
